I'm not really sure pointing to one guy with a high mileage 4 banger is evidence that the 3rd gen will be reliable. I don't doubt the 4banger will run like they always have.

I want to see how this v6 and shittronic tranny age.

Does the 4banger have the same rear end as the v6 sport?

Holy shit, this again? Yes, the 3rd gen will be very reliable. A few folks here who have obvious lemons or shit luck just bitch and bitch and bitch and bitch and what was that word? well you get the idea. Most folks would trade that said vehicle in and get something that makes them happy not go a forum, social media to bitch.

Just my opinion, the people who "bitch" are good for the bottom line at TW inc.

Otherwise, why would they receive the level if protection that is pretty apparent?

One child in particular and his goons are untouchable, correct?

I hope so too. I hate for people to spend money on an auto and it be unreliable. No matter what brand of truck or car you have.

Looking at the FSM (Factory service manual), I'd say the 4 cyl and V6 share the same diff. FSM makes no distinction between the two, only shows with or without locking variations.

Chevy always wins JD Power initial quality awards because initial quality doesn't mean shit. If I buy a brand new car, it better be quality for 90 days.

Agreed, IDK what all the fuzz is about, the basic engine has been around for some ten years in all type configurations and 200k is when ppl normally trade for a new one.

All things being equal on the assembly line, I have no concerns, its a freaking race engine and I love the way mine gets it when passing on the top end.

I agree, additionally I would avoid even the very mentioning of the name lol!

I'm actually acknowledging only one legit recall, the CPS sensor. The loose diff fasteners causing the leak are child's play. A 3/8" torque wrench 5 minutes of my time a pad in the back and an ice cold bud afterwards is all it takes.

It took me longer to consume the ice cold bud than to fix it, its that easy lmaoo!

And if someone can't see dark oily stains where they parked, maybe Uber is a better cheaper alternative for some folk, just saying

    Cheers!

Uhh... I wouldn't exactly say we're in the clear yet with frame rust... Have you looked under your truck recently?

Unfortunately, I had no choice. My last car was totaled and I couldn't afford to wait until 2017 to buy a truck.

I am sorry you have experienced these and if I have, I would have unloaded this vehicle ASAP!! I bought my 2017 DCSB Sport MT in December 2016 and currently I have Just under 12,000 miles and have not had one of these issues. I am no recall list, now leaks rear end or windows, no vibrations, drives great, no obvious misfires or rough running. Is it the Manual vs auto? Mexico vs Texas? Luck? This is awesome truck.

A brand new ass truck shouldn't be leaking at the diff..... few beers or not. Not a legitimate recall? Really?

Keep those rose colored glasses on or just call a spade a spade. I like my truck, I plan on keeping it, but I'm not going to give a pass for something that is obviously a QC issue.
