Ive used this 3m extreme outdoor mounting tape which is double sided super sticky, and a rubbery type gasket in the middle. *could* work. Ill show you later.

Yes for sure! and you are welcome to it. I used it to attach my led license plate light strip to the underside of the tailgate. You will have to do some cutting to get it to the right size you need since its 1" wide, but its no issue really... just cut and stick, peel the other side and stick
