Why do people lie about what they paid for a third gen? ... mostly BS thread

I had a friend drive me 3 hours to the dealer. I do believe it was an honest mistake. I was discharged more than a year before purchase. My military ID expired less than a year ago. They went by date of discharge. I guess I could have lied about it, and they would have went by my ID only, but who wants to be caught lieing about military service. lol. Not worth $1000

Maybe not pullout assist, more of a pullout or abort alarm. You know you sometimes come across a hole that looks okay but once you get in it, it's much worse than it looks.

 

Fucking people here in South Florida have no respect for the military or vets. I ask all the time for military discounts and no one gives them.

I personally paid a couple hundred under clean nada book value. I had called multiple smaller dealers as well as almost all major dealers who had the truck I wanted. (2nd gen DCSB OR white) Not a single place would budge on the price. After trying to negotiate and leaving my offer on the table countless times no one would take it or call me back. This is not the first time buying a car, this is my 5th vehicle. But this is the first time i couldn't haggle a dollar out of anyone. I'm happy with my purchase.

 

Even @smitty99 would be happy.
