Best alarm for 3rd gen?

Just bought a 2017 and opted not to have the dealer installed alarm. Any advice on a good quality alarm system that won't break the bank?

It depends on what Trim your truck came equip with. Your FOB will determine that.

What I recommend doing, since there is already a lot of discussion on this, is to search for "Alarm" but make sure you check the box for "Titles Only" and "This Forum Only" from within the Third Gen Forum. This will allow you to narrow it down quite a bit. I saw over a dozen or so threads from this search.

Just get good insurance. Ever see an alarm go off? What happens? Nothing. Waste of money.

99% of aftermarket alarms are nothing but problems...often causing more grief for the actual owner rather than any thief that can get past it in a matter of seconds.
