Where did you end up going? I've been hunting for some Mobil 1 75-90 since the friday... Last I checked Amazon was cheapest at $10.99/quart. Advance is having a sale right now at $10.99, but none of their coupons/promo codes will work with the sale.

How many quarts for front/rear diffs and transfer case? Sounds like 6 or 7 from what I've read... Sound about right???

I went with the Mobil 1 Synthetic from Advance. 3 qts for my tcase and front diff. I did my rear diff a few months back an it was something like 3.2 quarts ... so 7 total should be good.

 

Painted behind grill and installed grillcraft with trd badge also debadged rear and ordered boot cover and new shift knob for an upcoming mod oh and the lights ... they are brighter now thanks to inside and headlight led's!

 

These look nice! Any consideration of spraying a few layers of clear coat?

 

Thanks! I thought about it, but decided against it. This way if/when I mess them up wheeling, touching them up is really easy.

 

Which paint did you use?

 

It was a little over $3 a cab from Home Depot. Used as fetching primer first and they're holding up well so far.

 

Did you give the wheels a light sanding first or just clean with the alcohol?

Painting them was really easy, and not sure why more people don't do it. Must be the whole permanent aspect of it, because it's no more work than derping them.

 

Yeah I think alot of people are just afraid to mess it up. Painting isn't that hard if you spend the extra time during the prep phases.
