Hey TW, a couple days ago I got a crankshaft position sensor recall in the mail. Immediately I went to the dealer and waited three hours for them to fix the problem. Prior to this my truck was working perfectly. Today however, on my drive up to denver, my truck surges badly particularly at lower rpm's, WTF! Anybody else experience this?

Mine always just runs like shit but @SDTaco4x4 just posted in another thread that after one of the recalls he noticed his gas mileage took a dump.

Yeah I'm getting like 1-3mpg worse than I typically would going to the same places. Again, I don't know if it's just coincidental, but I'll wait till I run another tank of gas through it before I start to worry.

Mine is after the diff recall, though.

It's probably the transmission in learning mode. It needs to learn how to drive like crap again.

That sucks to hear that happened, reading thru some of the CPS Threads I recall reading that the proper way to change it is to disconnect the battery so the ECU resets, maybe you can try disconnecting the battery to see if it helps before having to go back to the dealer again.

I hope so, I hate how the dealerships handle repairs. Have to deal with the stupid service advisors rather than falking to an actual tech.
