If enough people here want, I will post my DIY pictures of how I fixed my squeaking. My truck since the day I bought it has squeaked like a hookers 40 year old mattress mounted on top of a med of rabid rats. I can hear it 24/7 when I stop, when I sit in or get out, when I fart (no matter how gentle I think it was) and it was driving me nuts!

I spent about an hour and a half the other day in an attempt to fix it and I haven't heard a single noise out of her since. (I will update after more use and water/mud if anything changes). I shot pictures of all of the steps and the total cost was about $18.

Let's vote and see if this is worth a write-up tutorial

Toyota should fix but if planning to modify the energy suspension grease between each leaf did the trick for me.

Why do we or anybody have to vote to get a DIY fix on something? Just post your How To, and let people decide whether they want to try it or not.

Post it up cowboy. My truck sounds terrible, I've got to do something about it soon. None of my other leaf spring trucks have ever squeaked like this thing, and it's lived a far better life then the old ones. Disappointing to say the least from what is one of the Top manufacturers.

All right, whose truck is this!?!? LOL

On another note. I had a old 81 Chevy Shortbox lowered a bit & I put these Teflon strips in between the leafs, doing that gave it a better ride because the springs could slide easier & wouldn't bind up. Might be a solution for this.

They usually sell this stuff for exactly this application at suspension shops.
