    Those with RTTs

Have any of you replaced the factory cover straps? I saw Chux bought beefier CVT Summit straps for his cover that cinch down real well. Mine are FUbaR and need to be replaced but I'm hesitant to just order the same ones. Velcro doesn't hold up in sun/weather/dirt.

Any other straps out there that work?

I thought he got away unscathed. Well, at least not that bad for driving off a 7' - 8' high wall.

Think he left some stuff behind though.

    Umm...... not at all.

I usually answer this by quoting Leroy "Satchel" Page, who asked, "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?"

My brain says I'm about 40 something, but my body joints tell me I'm every bit of 61.

first thing, no crap about the *cough* sway bar  , its staying on since my toddler is a passenger and the wife sometimes drives the truck.

So I just finished swapping out the bushings and installing new links - mind you these are different than the 99-01 links. So the only reason why I am concerned is I am getting an occasional metal 'pop' or 'smack' sound (can't really describe it) from the passenger side ONLY when I go over a tall speed bump or the front end dips - cant figure out what it is but it started after I swapped in the new links and bushings. The bushings are 27mm and do fit so I know that isn't it. Only thing I can think of is the torque is off (?). When I looked it up - the FSM has different values and not sure which is correct.

    componentlvl.jpgremoval.jpg

So should it be 51 or 66?? My next step will probably be to remove the damned links and see if I can reproduce the popping noise *driving me fcking nuts*. Maybe the passenger side link is screwed up - I just cant figure out what it is.

I don't think anyone would give you shit about the swaybar. For many of us that removed them, it just wasn't compatible with our poor life choices...

Kept mine though. If I get in an accident, and the front end is still straight, I'll have the truck towed to my house and slap that puppy on before the adjuster arrives.

Yep. I totally should have prepped my truck better. But I guarantee nobody here has ever checked those bolts, myself included. Takes a catastrophic event.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
I did!!!:D Only cuz I installed a worthless diff drop kit. Then took it off 2 months later. I check those bolts every time my skids are off only cuz I've had them off before. Had I never installed the diff drop, your right I probably would've of never checked them.
