Looking at two one owner TRD Sport 4x4 Access Cab Auto Tacoma's with 60k miles.

The 09 is Barcelona Red and the 2012 is Black.

    Which would you guys take?
    Any complaints on the color/year?

    Thanks guys!!

I believe 2012 is when they first introduced certain emissions things, and there are some bugs with it. With that being said, I'd still go 2012 because the front end just looks soooo much better. Black's just a bitch to keep clean though.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
    2012.

Does the 12 look lifted or is the black color playing with my brainz?

Black is a pain in the ass to keep nice if you take it off-road, mind that.
I had both, 2005 and 2015. Still can't decide which one I liked better :p

If I was a betting man I would say that the 2012 is lifted...It may be a stock suspension with blocks and spacers...

I had both too! Went from a 15 to an 05. I like the niceness of the 15, but also prefer no TPMS, traction control, etc and also that I don't mind as much if I damage it on the trail on the 05

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Both are nice rigs. I love black but as stated above shows any dust/dirt easily. Both have 60k so if you plan on modding the 09 would give you 2500 to start with. Guess a lot would depend on everything else, interior, tires, undercarriage etc. Take both for good test drives and test everything, feel for vibrations, even slight ones. Noises, rattles etc. If everything is equal I'd pic black 2012 myself. Also, service records!!!

    Tons of gay shit
To that I'll say if you're not prepared to spend a few hours a week (2 at most maybe) and one full detail day a month, then you SHOULD BE prepared to have your tacoma look like straight up shit. I am pretty "OCD" about my stuff though. Perfection or go home right?

I hear a lot of stories about the 2012 secondary smog system issues. May want to look up the issue on here.

Right. My truck was cleaned 6 hours ago. I also won't drive my truck down a gravel road and I dodge puddles though. So..

    We are very different.

If color was the same, 2012 all the way. Just need to figure out if you like black.
