FWIW, you can air down a lot lower. Whenever I'd mess around in FL, I'd drop down to 15psi. I would get up to 40 mph on fireroads between spots and had no issues.

I was worried about dropping too low with an 8.5" wide wheel and 255s. It's on the high side of recommended wheel width for coppers.

Ah, a valid fear. I'd err on the side of safety as well!

Will probably try 20 psi next time and see how it does.

Tore a hole in my sidewall today on my maxx. Damn things only 2 months old! At least they're 255s so a replacement is cheap at $182.

I like to put my truck to use :D and at least that's one perk of destroying a new tire.

Damn straight  it was $100 for certificates, or $180 for a new tire on the off chance I punctured one. I just got unlucky as the other two guys I was with were fine.

I paid 28.75 each for my certs. My tires were 204 a piece. I plan to destroy at least one of them on a trail or while towing.

This guy gets it. I don't buy extended warranties either. If they were not profitable they would not sell them. You may get burned a few times, but on a long enough timeline you'll come out ahead if you never buy any of that extra crap.

No, that's about right for discount tire. It's around 13-14% of the cost of the tire itself.

Installed. Pretty happy so far though I've only driven a few miles. Seem smoother than my KO2s but def a bit more "squishy" in the turns, I guess because the deep sidewalls.
