Debating on keeping my plate bumper and flares gloss black....if I go something other than black I'm the wheels

 

Got the truck finished today, the new clutch feels so much better the pedal is nice and smooth now and drives great

My harness to the fuse box went into the cab. No connector at the fuse box.

 

Any idea why the PO did this to the airbox?

Misread the dang manual and overtorqued the bolt (dialed the N•m number and not the ft-lb number into my ft-lb torque wrench ). Threw the old bolts back in and ordered new bolts!

 

I get that, but once in the cab does it split from the rest of the dash harness. How does one get it all out?

 

Because they thought it would provide a performance boost, probably was a forum user. It's called the deckplate mod and it is a right of passage in the TW placebo effect dept.

I think most of it goes into the fuse box under the driver side.

Why are you doing that? Aren't both the trucks the same?

 

Oh okay, well hopefully that has some sort of plug back there. I am doing it because the evap harness is tied into the fuse box harness on the 95 but tied in the engine harness in the 96. And they have different connectors and valves so it's getting swapped too.

 

oh...well that sucks.

Thats gonna be a major pain. Might as well pull the dash then.

 

I am going to, just couldn't see the truck until 5mins ago. Here's a pic, you were right. Looks actually pretty easy, just some plugs and a big grommet haha.

Got these bad mofos today! Also changed out my plugs and wires and did a full maf and throttle body cleaning.
