I'm going to go try Sansom park this weekend. Hard part is deciding which one to ride.

I wish I had kept some of my builds. Rules are, if you want a new one you better get rid of one

Went biking today, trail 305 by Prescott, Az. Thank you @RPS1030 for the suggestion, it was easy but super fun. It showed me exactly how out of shape I am!

Teal loved it and climbs better than I do! This was her first ride but will not be her last.

It was great until the end when the ground suddenly jumped up, knocked me down, sprained my ankle and stole my wallet.

At least that's how I remember it going.

N +1 doesn't work if you sell something....If you build or buy and sell something beforehand to do it or sell something afterward because you did it then that = N + 0.........N + 0 isn't a thing that does anyone any good.

After the first krazy fun ride on this steam roller the other day, all I could think was...........WTF just happened? Conquered stupid sand pits and cleared a 1/4 mile long swamp section without me having to get feet wet, rest of nicely packed singletrack was nothing but fun! Few parts to change out for personal preference.

    20170812_150652.jpg

Other than that, straight up krazy fun..........except battling with how to haul it, lol. Doesn't fit hitch rack, bedrail mounts, older bumper rack. Only option was tiedown straps and mounted in bed at angle to be able to close tailgate(longbed).........

I believe in that formula. I only have so much room thought lol. Currently have 6 bikes plus her 3. The bike room is currently full.

It is awesome, krazy weird big bike fun. It's 29+ size and 21.5" frame.....a bit big for me but deal I couldn't pass up, 1/2 price was not passable. 2017 Trek Stache 7 - SRAM 1x11, SRAM hydros 29x3.0 with 50mm rims, Manitou Magnum fork. Can't imagine how insane a fat bike with 5.0s would be. 20170812_150457.jpgLime oury lock-ons, Dorado air cartridge, Fizik seat, carbon post, lime raceface chester pedals, alloy xsync 32t chainring & wheels mfg bb on the way............

Very cool!!! How did you get such a deal? Just curious how tall you are in reference to the 21.5 frame?
Also, I rode a fat tire....they are cool and fun but for me I don't think I'd really ever own one. I've never tried a midfat before. I think a 3" tire would be the best mix between a fat tire and a standard size tire.

Some girl's boyfriend on a bike forum that mtb wasn't his thing and they wanted to get some of their money back. I am 6'. Chick works at shop, races and sells Trek and says frame runs small on these. Trek site says 6'1" - 6'5" so I went for it. A little extra step up getting on it but other than that no biggy. It is a very cool mix of fat and not. It is very rideable other than less air maybe. It weighs about 24 lbs IIRC. 3.0 will make 2.3's even seem tiny tho....the scale of this thing isn't noticeable without something to reference it to in same pic or just being next to it. Pics I have posted don't do justice to that. I dug it when I saw her FS thread before ever seeing one in person or riding one, had to have it. I have the wheel as far back as it goes and handles great. Haven't even tried it with rr wheel in forward position. Supposed to make big difference in tighter twisty stuff. I had no problem with it the other day in twisty singletrack with it all the way back.

    Yeah.
I wouldn't bother moving the back wheel forward unless you put 27.5+ on it -- it's already a very short wheelbase, significantly shorter than my 27.5+ FS bike. On my Farley, I did move the back wheel forward when I swapped to 3.8" from the 4.7" tires, but that is a completely different frame, longer and way lower. I bought the first Stache 9 that landed in my local shop and have been similarly amazed, especially on technical, rocky climbs. Now, the narrowest tires I have on any mountain bike are 2.8". The only way I might go narrower is if I got the Remedy with 2.4's.

Mine fits on my Kuat NV tray-style rack without the extender strap (just barely). Fat bike does as well.

Riding the Stache is not like riding a fat bike, the fat bike is a totally different experience. It's a steam roller and just runs over anything, not as fast and agile but you don't really have to worry about picking a line (you can't at speed anyway). The Stache is like a trophy truck, fast, smooth and agile. Here's how my stable still sits:
