    I LOVE THIS FUC%^* TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the 09 TRD DC LB in my favorite truck color WHITE!

Started the mods by removing the bug deflector and tossing the rear head restraints....Those rear head restraints block the view and are just plain dangerous.

Couple impressions after 3 hrs of ownership....

    • Sound system is actually pretty damm good
    • Steering Wheel audio controls are in the EXACT PERFECT POSITION.
    • Love the way the back seats fold for a FLAT rear area...Taco owners are spoiled...on my past Crew model trucks...Titan, F-150 this was not the case.
    • Very surprised the headlights are not auto...this was standard even on my 05 Silverad0 work truck
    • There isn't a hydraulic type lift for the hood. I didn't even know they made the bar type holders for any trucks or cars anymore.
    More tomorrow with pics.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT....Oh Yea...I Love it!

toyota brand hitch and uhaul wiring harness, fog lamps on anytime, bed lamps, map lights on with dome, day time running lamps, remove secondary air filter, painted bumper grill, Double Din touch screen stereo, Sockmonkey custom SR5 decal, door & seatbelt bells disabled, painted engine cover, installed compass/temperature overhead console, failed mod: passenger side auto down window switches, weathertech front mats, RedLine hood struts, Cheap Beep piezo buzzer locking beep, 5100s in the front set at 2.5, 5100s in the rear, AAL, hitch safe, revenge fab sliders, bed bar, prerunner light, cb wired
redline hood struts would fix the last bullet point. Enjoy your tacoma.. and avoid tacomaworld.. unless your wallet is deep ;)

Believe me dude...I learned the hard way on mods....I put almost 30k into my Titan...Susp Lift rolling on 37's and I got SOAKED on the resale.

Plus the thing was just not as functional lifted and fuel economy sucked.

Keeping this baby's suspension the way GOD and Yota designed it....may add some Teflon alloys and a set of more aggressive 32's and upgrade the sound and put in a sunroof and in dash nav but that's it......

    I HOPE!

One of the selling points for me on the tacoma was its factory height, i thought to myself "there's no need to lift it, it looks good already", 2hours on the forum my first day of membership and my mind was changed. Already got the 5100's just waiting on a local wrench met to get some help on install

Congrats. As was said, it's VERY, VERY hard to resist modification. I've successfully done so for a little over two years of ownership (aside from 265/75s and my Bestop). I'm getting the bug to put a full OME kit on though:eek:.

i thought i was the last stand against lifting my truck. visited this website, took my truck wheeling (rubbed fenders), visited this website..visited a local mod day.now i am lifted and researching UCA's. WTF? who the fuck set up the ambush?

congrats on the new rig. if you lifted your nissan, you will feel the "itch" for the tacoma. 3" is cake.
