    Warning, a bit of a long read! Worth it!

    So, I actually came up with this idea when I had my titan, but traded it in for the taco before I finished the project. Well, the project has been resurrected. The biggest problem with changing the color of the interior lighting in the Taco is the Climate controls. The coloring is on the face under the paint and would be a pain to remove. So, I decided I would do it one better and get rid of the climate controls all together!!!!!. I have a USB board already up and running with the outputs to control everything. I'm just waiting to get my other board made that will hold some of the other components needed to get the whole thing running. I have to amplify the signal from the DAC since it only swings from 0-5V and I need 0 - 12V to control the Temp and Damper control. The other board will also house the digital relays to control the fan speed, the a/c and recirc buttons, monitor the LED signals to tell me when the AC and recirc are actually on. The core of the electronics are already functioning. just need the other piece to tie it all together. Because I am waiting to get the other board from the bay area I decided to work on the software interface. here is a screen shot. The plan is to mount a 10.4" screen vertically in the center console and replace the radio and climate controls with a Car PC. This interface for the Climate controls will sit at the bottom of the 10.4" screen. My laptop is high rez. which is why the climate control interface looks so small.
