Is this a good deal on a 2017 TRD Off Road 4x4?

The sticker price on the car is $39554.00 but they are willing to sell it to me for $39800 with all tax, document fees and transfer tag (in Florida).

The cost also includes dealer installed leatherette. Is this a decent deal?

Does it have the tech package, JBL audio, and tonneau cover?

No JBL. Just the Premium & Tech Package, Towing Package and Toyoguard Platinum. No tonneau, side steps etc.

BTW this is an on the lot vehicle, not dealer trade. It is QS if that makes any difference.

What's your tax rate? If it's 6% or higher, that isn't a bad deal at all.

Not a bad deal. Most OTD prices are at or below MSRP

The Toyotaguard and any extended warranty fluff were all items I specifically declined. With a new truck I have full coverage insurance. If my windshield breaks or I need a tow I'm covered. I got a nice set of Clazzio leather seat covers for $423.00 to protect the seats and I'm not worried about the paint in time its going to get a few bumps and bruises that plastic film isn't going to protect it from.

I got what seems like the same truck as you are looking at (2017 Sport DBLC 4x4 with a towing package and no running boards or bed cover) for just under $3,000 less than your deal. I am in a 6% sale tax state as well w/ 2.9 interest through a local credit union.

Seems like a pretty average deal from what I have seen. All depends on your area and Florida is usually pretty competitive for Tacomas.

If the truck does not have PT, then that is not the msrp. Look it up here

You are also from CA, where tax is between 3000 and 4000 dollars on these trucks...

I think what he was trying to say was that if your Out The Door cost ends up near the MSRP then you managed a decent deal.

He said most, which is certainly more than 50% but could imply much more.

and that's not happening, even when people lie about what they paid

Someone should start a thread to find out why people lie about what they pay.

I am in the Tampa area and bought mine for $34k (without premium/tech package). That was OTD with Platinum warranty. Not sure how much the Premium/Tech package costs. Just a bit more info for you.

Esit: BTW, list was $38k (+ change, don't remember exact number)
