I grew up in Hudson and had no idea what a gem it is. I didn't get much from there when I was younger but now when I head up that way to visit my parents, it's a pretty regular stop. This is why I'm fat.

Anytime restaurants in Hudson are mentioned, my first thought it Railtrail Flatbread. I don't think its real old, but man their flatbread are awesome. And they have the ice cream shop across the street for after dinner.

Yup, Main Street in Hudson has greatly stepped up their game in the past decade. Tons of great food, beer, ice cream...

Almost none of that was around when I was growing up.

so a philly cheese steak uses liquid cheese wiz stuff, kind of like the pump nacho cheese at a movie theater or gas station...A steak and cheese will use slices of a deli cheese, usually white or orange american...but if you are dressing to impress like T.C. Lando's you go with provolone..mmm... But as far as saying let's get a Cheese steak or let's get a steak and cheese...outside of Philly you're into the whole "On line" vs "In line" territory...

The local gas station uses Pepperjack if you ask them to. Mmmmmm

Edit- they use pizza cheese if you ask them to as well, which is surprisingly good. But I really like the bite you get from the pepperjack.

Nothing but riding bikes to BK for free refill sodas until Mcd's opened...and wasting money on baseball cards at Prino's...Wish I had spent $10 a week on apple stock in the 1980's instead...
There was just a story about how Hudson has become a shining example of how a downtown and small business can thrive in spite of a WalMart and the Solomon Pond Mall..
I use to pick up a large steak and cheese from T.C. Lando's at least 2 or 3x a week when I was a life guard and biked to work...I would chow that entire thing in minutes with a bag of Lays (the salt combo is heavenly) but now I watch my girlish figure...

if the locals support the small businesses..

Sounds like you grew up there about the same time I did, maybe a little ahead of me. When did you graduate high school?

    Jailbreak in progress...

    They're actually a 'market' technically, I guess. They've got a deli counter.
