I have the LG G5 and i'm going on 2 years in it and love it even though it was like $700. I especially like being able to charge seperate batteries and then just flip them out. I had the Galaxy S4, 5, and 6 before that and they were good phones as well but I felt like I needed a charger nearby all the time.

You know the note 8 an iPhone 8 coming out soon they look pretty enticing. The Moto Z 2nd edition is a beast also.

you know what phone i miss? Moto SLVR. that phone was so badass.

i've gotten new iPhones every 2 years....that's about the point where i can sell the current one and buy a new one without much loss. not sure what i'm gonna do this time around. got an SE right now. the 7 is too big, and i imagine the 8 will be, as well.

Until you switch to Android. I used to be an iTunes fan but Apple has really dropped the ball on their cloud service. Way too easy to lose everything.

Google Drive is shared across mail, documents and photos. Google Photos works across all platforms and will sync all your photos for free without limitation as long as you agree to store compressed versions. If you want original, full resolution it'll count towards your quota. Which once used, you have to pay to increase. Downsized photos aren't bad. As long as you're not expecting to keep high res versions it's good enough. If you have Amazon Prime, you can store unlimited photos at full quality. Video will count towards your storage quota. Increasing Amazon storage is cheaper than Google.

EDIT: you can also easily use Flickr to sync photos. 1TB of free storage goes a long way.
