What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Assuming you are spraying the material, you will get droplets of paint which should provide more surface area for cooling. I'm guessing that's why the guys in the video got more thermal transfer from the painted radiator. The trade-off is putting too much paint and restricting airflow. Two quick coats should suffice without blocking the fins.
I'm also wondering if ceramic based paint (which is what makes most of them heat resistant) also aids in thermal transfer. I know racing brakes and rotors are ceramic based materials. Hmm

I believe the ceramic in the paint would aid in the cooling process. I work in a industry that applies thermal barrier coatings to metal that is exposed to extreme temp.

 

On my lunch break, so went out to the truck and took off the hood protector thingy.

Got some "nice" sticky pad marks on my hood, because of the clamp that has to clamp onto your hood. Not even made about that. What I am mad about is, I guess one of those sticky pads kinda had come off apparently, so now I have a little chip on the hood. FML.

It's up by my skewp and I notice it every time I wax lol I'm guess the protector only protect that leading edge of the hood.

I keep thinking that same thing. However the wife says she likes the bull bar. She also says could see us with two Tacoma's. So for now it lives on borrowed time while I try and come up with a plan that lets me score a second one that I can mess with to my hearts content.

Probably have to dump one of the other toys we have as an older VW and a Harley take up enough time to keep them looking good and running right in the case of the VW.

Yeah. A little refrigerant will escape over time through the front seal in the compressor. This is normal. And I do it myself so it costs me nothing. Not going to have another man fondle my truck all over then I have to pay the bill.

 

That's called having your cake, and eating it too! Even though I've never understood that saying. If I'm given cake, your damn right I'm eating it.

 

Off topic but have you been able to get any actual apps on your AppRadio?

 

I think the concept of that statement is no matter how much cake you eat there will be more. Kinda like a regenerating cake.
