That is the exact bike that I'm looking at. The HD3 is also a candidate.

You won't be disappointed in either
    The hd4 is super badass
    Hd3 is more trail friendly
I don't go down fast enough to need the hd3 but I've rode a few
    So much fun
The mojo 3 pedals up better for me

We have lots of rocks, and lots of tree roots (tons, actually). So I'm thinking a Plus bike might be a little more forgiving than a 29'r non-Plus.

Right now I roll on a Pivot Switchblade, which I love, but I've had it almost a year, and I get bored. Haha

I've had this for almost 16 months, it's the longest I've held onto a bike.
I have a little itch to the ripley (29+) but haven't scratched it yet
If I do it'll be in addition, i can't part with this
You'll love the plus on the rocks
    Air pressure is key
That's what we deal with here
I haven't rode a pivot switchblade but had heard really good things

Doesn't look like that will work with the OEM tonneau without some cutting. The latch pins are going to get in the way. (pic borrowed from another member)

I think it would be an easy mod for that worst case .

plus doesn't look like you'd still be able to open the tonneau.

I'm basically at the point looking for options that when I get the KB Voodoo bed rack I'm likely just going to go to a place that makes boat canopies and get them to do a canvas cover for it.

I just need something for when I go camping and on the trails as the short bed makes it hard to carry all my camping gear AND recovery gear. TRED Pros and hi lift plus extra fuel take up too much space.

Soft toppers are the same price roughly but then I loose my mounting options that come with the bed rack for the treds and hi lift.
Cap may work but don't want one all the time and a cap is too big to remove and put away when not in use.

Most of my gear is in weatherproof plano totes, but a few things are not and I don't want them getting soaked.
A canvas cover would work enough to keep most of the rain away that it shouldn't be an issue.

Problem is I want something on the inside of the rack, not the outside.
And I need something I can mount a pack boat/kayak too. So that again puts soft topper out.

Get ahold of Ben to see if he can make the rack work with the OEM tonneau @Dissent86 , you may be surprised .

it would look like shit to have it work.

Not only would you need to notch the mounting brackets to not interfere with the locking pins. the sides would need to be 90degree to the bed. Any angle inwards will get in the way of the trifold.
