All this talk of new phones and I went out and got one. Just got the samsung g8+. Its so fancy it doesnt even look like a phone. Upgraded from a g5 active. Seriously, it feels like a strange alien device it's so crisp, clean, and clear.

Also, my first phone was a Nokia brick. Solid phone.

 

Forgot to mention. This was the easiest phone buy ever. They transferred all the phone data directly from the old one, and I simply switched the sd card out. Got $200 credit for my old phone so I got an otter box, screen protector, and two data cables. It took all of about 30 minutes.

 

What service provider?

 

Cloud. Cloud it all. For real. As long as you maintain good security practices... no data to switch. Ever. Greatest feeling when buying a new phone and they ask to help you copy stuff over. And you can just say no, I got this. Also makes factory resets a breeze.



Congrats though. My phone is driving me crazy. Loved my last one, an LG 3. Until it bricked. Nexus 5X and this thing is shit. Have to restart at least once daily because it freezes up doing the most mundane tasks.

 

if i could get away from itunes, i'd be all over a Samsung.

 

I'm digging the G8+ but damn that price!!! I have been thinking about getting it from best buy in the next few months and just doing no interest on it

i agree. but i feel like i'm kinda stuck. i've tried twice. Blackberry in 2010, and Samsung Galaxy in 2012.

 

Did you do the ATT next plan? or just paid outright? they gave you $200 for a S5active???? Their website says they would pay me $37 for my S5

Yep. Paying like $35 extra a month for 24 months. Yea, it seemed like a steep price for a couple year old phone, but I wasn't going to argue.

Mmm bacon. Yea, I tried to schedule that day off, but I had to work anyways. Although, after Sept. 17, I will have every Sunday off with my new job.
