I almost find the ignore button as a "cop out". It's usually people who cannot bear to be wrong or be corrected (whether they are truly misinformed, or just ignorant), and can't (or won't) have a logical, intelligent conversation with someone else. It's like "HOW DARE YOU CORRECT ME. I'M RIGHT AND YOU KNOW IT. *ignore*

I have yet to use the ignore button on anyone. I know plenty of people on this site have used it on me once but I don't get offended.
I can't use the ignore button on my boss at work or one of my coworkers because I would get terminated. That's why I don't use it online either. This is my second internet automotive forum and I find TW to be a much higher volume site than the Scion tC forum I was on but at least everyone got along on that site.

here your problem buddy from what i read on your comments, you dont come across like someone who wants to have a logical intellectual conversation but you do sounds like a douchebag who just wants to shout until everyone around you hears what you have to say. thats your first problem right there pal

We've discussed this already in this thread. I'm blunt, dry and sarcastic. If that makes me come off as a douchebag, so be it. But that has no bearing on my ability to discuss in a logical manner or not.

Yes I know its been discussed thats why I said that because somebody else already called you out for it. When people hear and see you talk if you come across like a dick and nobody is going to respect that and nobody wants to deal with a little richard

Key words: come across. All perception. Some perceive me just fine. Some take the whole "if you have nothing "nice" to say then dont say it at all" way too literal and too much to heart. The world is a scary place and you'll still be just fine if you dont take things personally or only perceive things as negative.

Also, that funny and ironic considering who is participating in this thread right now.

Yes I fell the same way about the ignore feature.

But I will confront someone I have a problem with in the real world if I think it is necessary, and also do on TW fwiw, but at the end of the day, I really don't hate anybody, here or in real life.

I do occasionally take a break from TW when I have had my fill, and may just bug out permanently some day. One of the nice things about TW is it's voluntary, unlike my job, which requires me to deal with knuckleheads on a recurring basis. I do like my job too, colorful characters everywhere.......

Holy Sh*t, what the hell happened while I was typing this... @BeanDip ---not cool man
