Just a heads up for all of you intersted in purchasing an Access tonneau cover. Per Johnson8537's advice, i contacted Luke at TruckAlterations.com regarding their special pricing for Toyota Nation members. He sent over the link for their special pricing, but stated that the prices would be going up $20 at midnight tonight due to Access changing their pricing on their products. Anyway, just an FYI for anyone on the fence about getting a bed cover. The website for the special pricing is:

I don't understand why they are so much cheaper. These are brand new and not used and they come with all the parts needed, right? The link that they sent you says $340 for an Access Rollup and and on their page, it says $436.90.
    Just wondering.

Taos1, this is special pricing that TruckAlterations is extending to Toyota nation members. I assure you they are brand new, as i received mine last week, and will be installing it this weekend. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Do you know if this offer extends to the other covers? I am interested in an undercover brand for a first gen.

    Thanks,

    Thomas

I bought my Access LE from Luke at TruckAlterations last year. Great price, product just as I expected, better than anticipated shipping time. I give him a big

Bump, I am getting real close to buying so I really need to know if they have special TW prices on other covers undercover specifically.

    Tks,

Thomas, your best bet is to e-mail luke at truck alterations. I am only aware of the offers in the link above.

Eshtog, Trying to install my Access Lorado cover has been beyond more trouble then i imagined it would be. While other's may have different experiences, these are the problems i have run into.
-while trying to remove the bed rails to install the cover, i found that they had all been over torqued at the factory, and each bolt would strip before being removed. Therefore i spent 4 hours drilling out the bed rail bolts. And in the process i burned out my drill.
-trying to re-mount the bed rails with the bed cover bracket and spacers has become more touble than its worth, as 4 hands are still not enough to keep everything in place to mount it correctly without mis-threading the new mounting bolts.
-These problems coupled with the 110+ temps while working in the garage here in phoenix have led me to have the cover installed at a local shop.
I will be the first to admit that i do not have vast experience when it comes to things like this, but i never thought it would be this much trouble.
With all that said, i do recommend Truck Alterations for the best price on the cover, and their shipping was very quick.

There is a thread on the TN site that deals with installing the access tonneau cover.

    http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118926&highlight=access+tonneau+install

I know it's a lot of reading to find the tips, but there are several that help make the install easier. Several people had problems and wrote about them and what they did to fix the problem.

I followed the instructions and installed my cover by myself (a second pair of hands would have come in handy). I had no problems.

    Good luck. :)

I've narrowed down my choices to either the Access Limited, Lorado or the TruXedo LoPro. I have an '06 DC Long Bed.

Would you guys recommend any one of these over the other? I plan on ordering it tomorrow.

    Thanks!

    A thing or two...
I say go for the access limited. It doesn't effect the use of the rail system. That's what I'm getting eventually.

+1 :) You can still use the original bed cleats - where with the lo-pro you will need the mini cleats.

Well I did it. I just spoke to Luke at truck alterations and ordered the Access Limited. He said the same thing about the Lorado, etc and having to use the mini clamps.

I should have it before the weekend. I guess I know what I'll be doing on Saturday.

    Thanks for your help!

I know it's an old thread but had to say thanks to Zach for the link. I was shock to look at the prices else where (I paid $372 for my Titan 6 yrs ago) until I clicked on the link Zach provided. Yes it did seem too good to be true. I got the Truxedo Lopro (was on my Titan, couldn't find anything was wrong with it) in 2 days after ordering. But I can't install until i get my P and L . :(

    Thanks

wow, i am glad the link still worked. If you have any issues installing i highly recommend the link that impulse red posted above. You definitely will have to comb through some pages but the tips in there are really good.
