Tacoma Bumper Popped off... dealer asking for 10k

I'm thinking about cleaning off my plastidipped rims and emblems and talking to a different dealer

 

This would be your best bet. I agree that plasti-dip shouldn't have any bearing on the bumper misalignment.

 

$6,000.00 worth here. Whole new Composite Bed, Passenger Side Skin and brackets, new complete rear bumper and brackets. So no way is it $10,000.00 for a new bumper

 

Just looked at the black tacoma on their. Our bumpers look identical

 

So then probably something to do with the alignment then. No need to replace the bumper especially if there is no visible damage to your vehicle

 

This is a picture from when mine was hit. The clips ended up breaking on the black center piece. So the body shop just ordered the whole thing and replaced it.

 

I would string this dealer along for as long as possible on this.

 

Definetly get them to order the 10k bumper.

Get someone at the dealer all excited, then pull the ole, gotta ask my wife bit. After some random phone calls spaced out over a few weeks.

 

These suggestions are all based on the false premise that this actually happened.

how much was it? I am thinking of going with a cbi bumper instead
