Nice! Did yours come with the backing plate and hardware? Mine was missing...

You probably already know, but they recommend installing with a 1/4 tank or less. Installed mine with 3/4 tank. Not an issue with the floor jack.

Anyone ever drop an oil pan on 3RZ? I have a drip from pan gasket. I'm thinking can drop far enough to strip it and RTV it with right stuff.
Just kind don't want to pull front diff to drop it out.

Took a short off-pavement detour off 88 today to get a feel for how bad this steering rattle is going to be for the next 3 days. Answer is really, really bad. Trailside repair complete. The answer, as always, is more zip ties. Silence!

We used to wind those full of hay twine that way they wouldn't rattle. And they dampen with it. Also used twine on all u joint with durby cars.

Can't be as bad as replacing the mid shaft on my old BMW wagon... seriously, follow the TSB R&R instructions(I thought you said earlier you had this).

I have the TSB. The instructions for removal make it seem like it should be easy. And we all know how that goes.

Not sure how it is for 2nd gen but on my 4runner (same as 1st gen) it was pretty simple. Hardest part was getting the springs back on (not sure if they still have them).
