What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Corey, the headlights look sweet! Is your turn signal bulb now the dual switchback? Also did you replace the led ring and if so with which one?

 

A rock hit it on my drive home from work. Sounded like a very small rock, and it looked like it could be repaired. It was only about 1/2" diameter chip. The next day, I was going to call to see about having it repaired. I was really busy and I figured I'd call after lunch. When I went out to my truck for my lunch break, the crack had already grown to about 7-8" long. I guess I'll have to replace the whole damn thing now.

 

I have had a 3/4" chip for a couple of months. Have not repaired it yet. On passenger side at the in-your-face position. Does not bother wife. I just hope that windshield mechanics are generations ahead of my previous replacements years ago. Never had one sealed properly and/or there was excess seal protruding in spots around the inside. A former coworker had one replaced on a very nice low mileage congo cruiser 90's Buick. 2 years later the car was a total loss due to poor sealing. There was thick rust under the dash and his ecu, and other electronics, got fried. That is why I hate replacing one. Good luck whatever you do.
