From the looks of it, if the kbvoodoo rack was about 4" shorter front-to-rear, you could open the last panel of the OEM tonneau.

I bet just using the short bed version would work for those with a long bed.

I think people are overvaluing the ability to open the cover. A little planning ahead and it's no issue at all. And if you need the rack out of the way, it comes off in a couple minutes.

Got it...pretty easy to adapt in any situation.
But someone will figure this puzzle out .
Got to hit the bed early I have a kayak loaded and a couple of fly rods that need a few trout to hit them tomorrow :)
    Small hike in :)
On the off chance I fall asleep.
    Goodnight all :).
On the big chance that does not happen :). See you in a bit .

Guess it depends on situation. When I order I'll be getting the brackets anyways to try it out. Most of my stuff is in totes so it's not too much of an issue. But small items might end up in the back and be a bitch to get lol. I do have pretty long arms so might not be an issue. Time will tell

And I do have a short bed

I use the factory bed extender, flipped inside the bed, to act like a cargo divider. Small stuff stays right near the tailgate. Bigger stuff can then be put on the other side of the extender, closer to the cab.

I should have asked this earlier. But how is the clearance with the front of the rack and the third brake light?

There's a good amount of space between the two, so it's still visible.

Just keep in mind though. Once you throw a RTT on it..third brake is cover. Not Voodoo issue but user preference of sleeping on hard ground or higher ground ;-). I personally like sleeping comfortably when camping so I chose to get RTT knowing that third brake light will be covered. I have attached a pic of my setup for you to see.

Thanks for the picture. I can always add a temporary light to the rack and plug into the hitch plug when the 3rd brake light is covered by kayaks, tents, what have you. I just want to leave the rack on at most times, so just wanted to be sure it wasn't covered at all times

I thought of that...but damn are they pricey. plus then I'd sacrifice some height and I can already barely close the cover with my cooler lol
