Time to find a new one, but please share the name of the first, when I want to mod something I'll go there and get a quote for the non-broke item, tell the wife what they want to charge, then.... mods with wife approval. Great plan

And then turn that dealership in to the corporate office!

 

I paid like 34k for mine, but I thought that was ok because it came with 4 wheels, a v6 motor, 6 speed manual transmission..ect

Personally, I would have told the idiots that I was going to go home and call Toyota corporate unless they pulled their head out of their ass and got serious. Toyota decided to stick a plastic clip on bumper on this thing...they can eat the cost if it comes un-clipped.

 

I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound right still.

At this point all you are doing is showing that your dad is inept at dealing with stuff like this too.

It's not that hard, it's not nearly that expensive, and there is no need for an aftermarket bumper, unless you just want to have one.

I'll prepare a corner niche in my somewhat crowded safe place and have it ready for you this afternoon!

Are you sure they didn't say "one thousand" and you may have not heard them correctly?

 

I've taken mine apart to even out both sides. There's a ridiculous amount of play and flexibility in adjusting the bumper when you get it down to the frame. This is just an adjustment and your dealership is full of shit in the worst possible way.

 

I would never go back to that dealership...can't imagine the cost of an oil change and tire rotation.

 

You should stick with uber.

 

3rd gen bumpers are made out of recycled 2nd gen frames.
