Not sure I'd say it's spot on, but it is acceptable except for reverse. I'd say all the gears are a little too tall except for 6th. Truck requires first gear too much. In a parking lot it would be nice to be able to use second more. Most of my vehicles had a granny first and a pretty short second. I prefer it that way. Truck drives just fine though, just not that way I like it.

I would agree that 2nd gear is too high as well. Going from first to 2nd is a big drop. I can't really complain as it's night and day difference compared to a auto

I think it's the lack of low end torque that has such an impact on 2nd gear.

This was also true for myself whenever i was looking to buy a 6spd. I wasnt willing to settle on an auto though so i went with a short bed

Make an argument? It's mostly subjective. Both accomplish the same goal. That being said it is worth noting the auto is the most complained about thing on 3rd gen Tacomas. I got a manual because I wanted one. I like manuals and hate slush boxes.

Just one actually, a Toyota Tacoma. One of the most boring vehciles on earth. Honestly, it's the reason I own a Tacoma, because they are like the anti-vehicle. It never needs work, it just runs and I don't have to think about it other than the payment and basic maintenence. My other vehicle is a Kawasaki GTR1400 with a Shoodabeen ECU tune and Yoshimura full exhaust that makes 170 rwhp and power wheelies in the first 3 gears:bikewheelie2:
