@Kemosabe yes sir, I was actually able to head up Thursday night after getting the wheels on. My boss camps here as well and he had a few things for me to do for him up here haha finished early and spent the rest of the day washing and waxing. It's my Dad's bday this weekend, so party time tonight haha

Seems like a good time! And in your advantage that your boss is not too far, giving you the occasion to leave earlier ! It is also a buddy's birthday today! Have a good one!

Well most times I would agree that it was my fault, tho this time I chose to do it with rain in the forecast haha I wanted to wax after i got the truck professionally buffed and polished but then it was up on jack stand for 3 weeks so I didn't have the chance hahaha so I toughed it out and got er shiny

so a little while back when I got the truck buffed and polished professionally he had put a product on the plastic trim which looked great, but the next day it rained and left streaks all down the paint. so I ordered a product from chemical guys and just tried it this weekend. I put it on sunday and its been nice and sunny up until last night when we got a light rain. the rain washed the product right off and left streaks down the paint again even after baking on in the sun haha

@inesshell got the same results haha the plastic isn't that faded so I'm not to worried but damn it does look nice when its all dark black and shiny haha

    hahahaha maybe!

oh well, at least I tried. the first day I put it on, it rained right after, so I figured it didn't have time to "absorb" into the plastic. I waited until sunday when it was nice a sunny and going to stay that way for at least a few days, hoping the sun would kind of bake it into the plastic, but to no avail obviously haha oh well, the plastic doesn't really bother me anyways, just figured if I could bring er back to nicely new and shiny why not try lol

Damn that sucks! It is definitely hard to keep a black truck so clean and shiny! It didn't stained the paint?

so yesterday I painted the chrome trim around the shifter Satin Black.

-remove centre console piece around the shifter
-use a soldering iron to heat the plastic melt points that hold the chrome trim in place
    -prep/paint/let dry
    -epoxy back into place

Looks good! The only chrome thing I like inside the truck is the Toyota Logo on the steering wheel. I busted out The chrome ring for the shifter haha

You are game to paint those rings! I am sure I would break one! Which color you go with?

I mean I bust it like I just popped it out of its place and just threw it in the glove box haha
