Rear fender flares popped off

So, thought I'd do some light muddling, open diff, so nothing crazy. Got stuck in the muck, managed to rev myself out, but banged a little hard on a muddy rut in reverse, and the 2 rear fender flares popped everything off except the front and rear bottom bolts, or whatever, of the fender flares.
The doohickeys? that are moulded or welded to the flares broke off. ( picture 2 flares just hanging off, held by the bottom bolts.)
I'm wondering if someone else (surely has) been through this?
Worse case scenario I'm thinking ( not buying new flares, truck is used and a little banged up) going to pop rivet the suckers back on, or something like that.
    Any other ideas?

I didn't take time to take pics, so if this thread is worthless, don't follow it. Looking for advice, not criticism.

Don't take criticism personally, it's a truck forum, and look at the posts on this site, pics take every thread further and details are always helpful. You kind of answered your own post, though. If the truck has been hammered on like you make it seem, get some pop rivets or find some self tapping screws lying around and put the flares back on. Limited function-over-form, I suppose, if you want that. Lots of people run without them once they're gone. If you lost them once...

I had a father that made Stripes a part of my childhood. I'm thankful for that.

I've seen a lot of people remove them, if they look pretty trashed that's always an option. You just have to fill the obnoxious holes left behind

Most of the stuff on these trucks are snap together. Look for new clips and you are good to go.

What he said!! ^^^ It's all just held on by clips. If the clip holder on the flare itself is busted, just jb weld some clips back on.

New clips are pricey... I broke some of mine and i think if you buy at the dealership it's about $12-15 worth of clips per fender... Non reusable of course

Ebay the part numbers and you can get a lot of clips for hardly any money

Same thing happened to me but only on the driver side. I put Permatex black rtv on it as a temporary fix. I was Up North and thats all I had. Well I'll be darned if the fix hasn't been permanent. It has been on that way for many years now. Use the blue painters tape around the outside of the flare so any rtv that squeezes out will be on the tape and not the fender.
