Nothing yet from the aftermarket . The AC60 series transmission is still too new . You can expect to see developments made once these trucks start hitting transmission shops .
Once the technicians start testing the valve body and find all sorts of leaks , I am sure there will be a kit developed quickly .
Most of the valving in the valve body is similar to the A750 series . I am betting most of the 5 speed valving would work in the 6 speed
With this said , it took 6 years before the aftermarket started testing the 2nd gen A750E series transmission and making improvements .

I have already been in contact with Sonnax , Gears , ATSG regarding the 2016 and up AC60 series transmission and they are all aware of the issues so hopefully a fix will be out sooner than its predecessor .
For now , all we can rely on is the dealer while these transmissions are still on warranty

Thanks for the reply. It looks like Isuzu will be using this transmission as well now.

I've been seeing a lot of posts regarding it taking 'hours' to check the transmission levels and there is a newer procedure that includes a metered tool compared to a temperature chart that accounts for the expansion of the fluid. This meter is installed in the level pipe and the fluid can be tested when the transmission fluid is hot. Because techs aren't using this process or the proper tools, incorrect levels are being set either too low or too high. Give this a watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNcecuGzTDg. I have a 2017 Limited and while it's not terrible, it's obviously designed to deliver MPG over shift / acceleration performance. I need to take it in and get the 5K service soon and will be prompting them to check the level and patch the code to rev1 as it sure is flaring in 3 / 4 as well as turns. I don't seem to have the problem with P / R though, but given the stories that people tell, it may just be a matter of time. Any word on REV-2?

Had Rev-1 applied to my Tacoma in January (2017). It drove great at 1st, like so many others have reported, then it "learns" and the shifting got worse. I live in a mountainous region and I had the gear hunting and lunging on slight gradual uphill issue. Then I decided to to drive it all of the time with ECT button on for 1 month, gas mileage sucked but boy does this engine/tranny run a whole lot better. And I drove it like bat out of hell, I normally don't drive like that. A small part of me was hoping to rip the transmission out of it and watch bounce down the road in my mirror. After a month I stopped turning the ECT on it drove like totally different truck. I have put almost 10,000 miles now and it only does the lunging once in a great while. I won't say it's totally fixed but it is so much more enjoyable to drive.
I have Boss adjustable front coil overs and have the truck leveled and have the factory wheels and tires, no LT's or heavy tires so that hasn't contributed to any of my odd tranny issues.

Was your transmission low on fluid?

As far as I know mine was not low, or so they claimed. I was somewhat skeptical after reading about so many on TW having low fluid. When I got the paperwork after Rev1 it listed the TSB # software update and didn't say anything about them adding ATF.

If it is low.. I have the 100,000 mile warranty and I'm driving the hell out of it! It should burn the tranny up before then (I hope). And fingers crossed that by that time they will have figured out WTF the actual problem is.
It drives 99% better after the Rev1 and then me driving around with ECT constantly on for while. If they could fix the occasional lunge on slight inclines it would be 100%

So far Im fairly well pleased with truck. It just needs to be refined a little. If the tranny gets worse I'll just hook up to a loaded cattle car at 99,000 miles and rip the son of a bitch out so they can put a new one in before my warranty is up.

When I had the original TSB mine was 1/2 qt low and was documented. I painted lines on my plugs to make sure they did remove the plugs to check it. The 2nd TSB rev 1 took care of most remaining issues. I think now after another 8 months and 5000 miles it has faded back to some minor issues pre-rev 1. I am happy with it but at 14000 miles I would welcome another revised update. Still not thrilled that when driven in D that it loves to find 5th and 6th gear way before it should. ECT is still used more often than it should be. On the other hand, today I drove 150 miles to Richmond, in stop and go traffic with several construction zones, with a bed loaded with furniture and clothes and electronics, running between 40 mph to 76 mph to 20 mph, and then returned 150 miles through the same construction and averaged 21.2 mpg. I just can't complain about the mpg. So the shift points seem to have both advantages and disadvantages.

Hate to ask the novice question, but I have noticed my new taco (4,100 miles). Does downshift when releasing the gas (coming to a stop)or going downhill, but stays when leveling or accelerating. Is this a TSB issue?

Also, when in reverse, it accelerates a tad bit and stops on its own. This continues while in reverse without acceleration. TSB issue too?

I told them I was concerned with the reliability of the truck with so many concerns out there with the trans . I asked for it and they gave it to me .

Personally I am almost sure that this post will be the longest ever on this forum. I know its sad but the fact is we must all realize that there is no real fix for what Toyota did to this truck. The transmission does not match the engine and the engine certainly does not match the truck. The gear ratios do not work with the power output or mode of the engine as it tries to keep the engine rpm low to help with gas mileage.
The engine power does not come on until 2500 rpm and after that its all buzzy as hell.
It really is the result of poor engineering and that's that. There is no way to fix it except to replace the engine and transmission with something that should have been engineered in 2017 and not 1980. I know I am frustrated because I really love the way the truck rides and I like the interior, and Toyota quality but I feel completely let down on the outcome of this totally re-engineered truck. Please keep the Sweers team away from the Tundra.
    Just my two cents

I think it's fine if you understand what the goal is. I've never felt like it was under powered. It's pretty smooth and delivers great gas mileage. The TSB made a big difference in shifting in CC.
