Muffler Questions??

Ok my buddy has a 91' s10, we've suggested some mufflers to him, but I would like to get ya'lls input, he wants something loud, and not deep like a flowmaster. He is leaning towords a cherry bomb, what would ya'll suggest?????

If he's going to get a cherry bomb at least get a vortex.

 

About how much do they run??

Be an easier choice then of what muffler to get!

 

up here there like 150, not sure how much american.
Their built modeled of the flowmaster, not liek the turbo's that just split at the seems when any sorts of tempture change happens often.

 

is it the 4 banger or the 4.3L v6?

I had the 4.3L in my 93 chevy, I cut the cat, put a straight 3" pipe to a 40 series flowmaster. it sounded so damn good! pretty much a v8 until you got close to 4k+ rpms

good luck, i have yet to hear a good sounding 4 banger IMO of course

 

my brother put a cherry bomb glass pack on his 4cyl sonoma and it sounds terrible to me. It is very deep but drones horribly while driving.

 

Anything you guys can think of that is cheap?? I know you get what you pay for, but he wants loud and a wide open sounding muffler for fairly cheap. $50 or less, thats why he's leaning toward a glass pack. Any other good sounding glasspack ideas?

 

run straight pipe after the cat. that should be free if you have a sawzall already!

if he doesnt like the way it sounds then go to autozone and get a cheap shitty glasspack and put on there

Glass packs hardly do anything lol, MIght as well save yourself the trouble and straight pipe it.
