My wife got a Cameo vinyl cutter machine and I've been tasked to figure it out.

Yesterday I was able to make words.

    IMG_7405.jpg

Today I upped the ante a little and almost got it right. This was the first try and I need to enlarge the vinyl panels by 1/4-1/2" to be able to wrap them around the panel itself for better adhesion. The A10 nose art was copied from an actual photo and resized to fit. The bombs were a Google pic resized, trimmed, and flipped to fit. This little machine looks promising. I laid the OD green on the hood over a base of gloss white. The nose art was applied on top of the OD green. The star was copied from a mallcrawler Jeep door. I need to stretch the hood vinyl another inch longer at least to get full coverage and some fold over.

    What other RC's do y'all have? I have an Axial SCX10.2 Kit, a 1/16 E-Revo VXL/Brushless, and a X-ray T2 007 with a modified 17.5 motor and lots of upgrades.

Nice! Any suggestions on a good 1/10 Short course truck to start with? I don't see myself needing anything to special, it'll just be a beater.

The SC10 is the only one I've got. Associated is all standard bolts and a PITA if you don't have any.

Traxxas Slash is likely the best beater, from what I've read anyway. Plus every hobby shop has parts.

I had a bad day with my rigs today. Brought them to Colorado with me (on vacation) and had a good bit of fun with both of them. Was driving the Wraith and my ESC hit cutoff. I go inside and get a new battery - a hard case with removeable leads. Plug it in and see my servo wires start glowing (its wired direct to the battery) and burn up. Quickly unplug the battery and find that I had the positive and negative switched around. Bye, bye Tekin FXR.

I pull the Tekin RX8 out of my XMaxx to see if the servo is still good. Fix my wiring and plug in to the esc to 6S power. Forget to unplug servo. Bye, bye Savox 2270sg. Cooked my receiver as well.

So now i have moved all my electronics from the XMaxx to the Wraith until I can bring myself to buy a new FXR, receiver and servo. I need to get more sleep...

Just cosmetic: Window Tint, radio knobs, temp control knobs, Tech-Deck, Tonneau bed cover, tail gate lock, de-chromed all badges inside and out, installed back up camera and custom bedside decals.
you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Traxxas slash...I prefer the 4x4...they are fast, durable as hell, and as stated...tons of aftermarket parts that are affordable.

I've been playing with the program for the vinyl/paper/whatever cutting apparatus my wife purchased a few week ago. I know there are some Wraith and Bomber owners here so I'll leave this here to enjoy. Everything can be a medium from Monster drink cans to Cool Whip bowls to colored lids on plastic totes with the holiday supplies you have put away, or still the street signs at the end of your road. It's probably easiest to copy these to Word to scale them like they need to be, then print them on some cardstock to cut out for templates.

These hole markings aren't 100% and may be off a millimeter here or there. If you use the marks like I did I simply made them a little bigger with my hole reamer and they went on fine.

To the left is a Harley Designs panel for the Wraith. To the right is the bomber panel. Both have a similar wrap around behind the 'cab'.

Wraith and Bomber side panel templates.jpg

I couldn't get a good image of the hood from my scanner so I kind of winged the rounded part. The roof was a little better to scan but the indents where the fold over is didn't want to cooperate so I hand drew those in the program with my chitty laser mouse. Regardless, you'll be correcting my errors as you cut yours out.
    Bomber Hood and Roof.jpg

I'm waiting on paint to dry then I'll post up my no longer white Trail Bomber. I set it up to run trails and the green I posted earlier was just for an experiment. Teaser: I want it to be a bright, vivid color to be seen at a distance.

I wish we had a scene large enough to support a racing league. I really wouldn't care what form of racing it would be either.
