Pretty sure I had more fun than all the rest of you on here combined yesterday. I am the electrician in the family, and little sister needed some new outlets put in for a minor remodel. So I got to cut in some new boxes, and start running cable yesterday. This involved crawling around in an attic with 16" deep blown in insulation, then trying to lay down in it to find where my lines were coming up the walls. As I got to find out, the wall I was working at didn't go all the way up to where I wanted it to, so I had to move a bunch of this damn insulation out of the way to lay down, scrape my head on the nails coming through the roof, and breathe in the insulation dust in 110 degrees wearing long sleeves, insulated pants, and heavy boots. I didnt get it done either. Maybe tomorrow i will, but im not ready to crawl into the attic again yet.

The heat is similar to being in the sandbox. Imagine living in that...

I hated being in the middle east. 140 was about the hottest it got for us and that's just the air temperature. In the shade I think it was around 120? Oh, and we were wearing full kit in an uparmoured humvee without A/C :)

I got my first Elk tag this year, I'm pretty excited about it. I'll probably cry, I like animals... But after eating elk for the last 9months that was given to us, I'd like to fill the freezer with my own.

The wether the last few days has been amazing, making me itch for the woods.

110 I could possibly adjust to over the course of a year, but even then, I'd still have a difficult time.

Keep me in touch. I can drive over from Spokane area to drink beer with you.

Do you have a WA deer tag? If so, I am pretty sure it is 3 point minimum at my place and I can put the deer block in my clearing on my 10 acres. Set up a tree stand and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

nice! What area do you plan on hunting? Theres a lot better odds down there IMO, Anderson ranch dam area has a lot of places to hunt. Good luck!

nah I hunt in Idaho primarily. I havent looked at out of state tags for WA. Our place is backed up to the woods and my other property borders state land. Theres a lot of hunting pressure here but we still manage to get our freezer filled and I also have a walk-in cooler now so that helps immensely. I appreciate the offer though, If you get something I can do a euro skull cleaning.

Well, we tried Boulder Basin again... the road was rough and we needed 2-3 more inches of ground clearance to make it up. So we camped next to Boulder creek and explored a few abandoned cabins. After a nice night we decided to try to make it up again ... and failed. The FJ held up well. The last accent was a flooded road of cantaloupe to basketball sized "boulders". It was so loose that you needed a lot of momentum. Even with the locker we just sat there an dug in. The worst part was, on the way down we slit a sidewall and had to change the tire on the same road in this picture. We met a Jeeper, who said he had never seen the road up so rough. Maybe next time. This picture was taken around 8,600 (2600m) feet.

We took the FJ, because I knew it would be tight going up. Not a big fan pin stripes on the new truck.

Anybody up for an evening meet and greet in Boise? Up behind Table Rock there are some light off roading possibilities and a great view of the sunset. I was thinking a short meet up after work. Takes about 25 minutes to get there from downtown.

    What do you guys think?
