Yeah, I've gone around the bottom and the top, taking 285. Going around the bottom worked really well until my kiddo had to poop just north of the airport. We got stuck in an Arby's bathroom and then stuck on a 7 mile stretch of interstate for over an hour. Over the top of 285 is just Hell. I almost had good luck going straight through once, but road repairs on an overpass/exit ruined my progress. I generally follow the After 8pm rule, but I need to get to my Alabama campsite and set up tents before sundown. Trying to streamline and upcoming camping trip with four adults and four kids so it isn't pure hell.

I would go straight through, and try to come through between 10:30-11:00 am and 1:00 - 2:00 pm. If you have someone with you the HOV will help. You'll slow down, but it will usually still be fastest.

But... from Athens you can also shoot down to Conyers on 138 (I think 138) and hit 20, then take 20 through the city. That will be reverse of traffic coming into the city, and 20 west out of the city is one of the few parts of Atl that doesn't usually have traffic.

 

if theres a magical tunnel .. do they provide unicorns and shit?

 

On another note, i thought about getting out this weekend too, can you primitive camp at Tray Mtn?

Well I know it's not me. I did go to KSU and have a serious beard but damn who tha fuck supports LSU and the Saints?? Must be an huge dummy

 

Maybe I'm just weird, but I always thought that it was strange to be an advertised fan of another college, unless you're a graduate student and did your undergrad there or your family went there.

Granted, in this case, even if I went to LSU, I wouldn't advertise that.

 

But who would be proud of KSU??? Im not, I signed up for SPSU...

There's a guy in TN just did an LS swap in his first gen. Just need to do custom exhaust pipes and mount the tranny and do electrical other than that it worked fairly easy. Easier said than done
