Too funny. I have a 13 yr old dog that I am at home with while the wife is at a work conference. Of course I also have a 10 yr old son that is in school too. Happy for your new purchase. Let the transmission break in and you will love it.

When I bought my truck, the Wife went to work and I bought the truck. She is still pissed about it 10 months later. Like you said life is too short.

Sounds like good advice. My truck was flawless when I got it. A couple days later a bird shit on it, and I didn't notice or think anything of it for a day or two. I can still see the spots where it damaged the too fresh clear coat.

I bought a new BMW once when my son was out of town.

Picked him up at airport, and we walked out to parking garage. I said "where the hell is my truck! I parked it right here!!!". Made a big show of it. Walking around, looking, acting pissed. Then I said "fuck it, someone took mine....keys are in this bimmer, I'm fuckin' taking it!!". Jumped in, started it up, told him to hurry up and get in. Look on his face was priceless.

That applies to Vehicles you get back from the Body Shop, they do a pretty good job of baking the paint on in the Factory so no need to wait to wax.

Here is the bright side, disagreements about money is the number one cause of divorce. If secretly buying a truck doesn't do it you'll probably make it!

True I have friends with horrific stories. But like I said before money not the issue, my mild OCD is the issue.lol. She is frugal and saves a shit ton of money and really doesn't like material things. I find her so odd sometimes with her contentment on material issues. Where I tend to get something in my head and it sits there for a while. Divorce really never crossed my mind it would take a hell of a lot more than a truck. i did tell her if she goes away without me again it will be land or maybe a boat. haha

Yeah I used to do some multi state trips on the motorcycle. But now with Baby getting older we really can't leave her so its just a weekend thing. This is my last motorcycle too. keeping it for at least ten years and then giving it up. My wife really loves riding so that was an easy one.

Thanks. The Tacoma has me for now but the fall is awesome upstate NY motorcycle time.

Its Millennium Toyota in Hemptstead. Saw the truck on cars.com for 357xx. Got if for 34,999. Gave me 18,000 for the 15 5 lug. I was pretty happy and feel good with those numbers. I always felt I got bamboozled with the 5lug because they played games with the prices at the Ram place on hempstead tpke. "thats the price if you take this shitty loan from us"
So yes I feel this was a good and easy process and I actually had a real good time bullshitting and joking around with the guys that work there. My sales guy was an Indian man named Mathew. Real nice guy. He probably new I meant business because I was there 10 minutes before they opened.

Good timing and a great upgrade!
I had a '14 that I hated and took a beating to get rid of it also when I bought my '16. Almost a year and a half later I'm still happy I did it and I hope you will be too.
