We get a lot of Army pilots through our flight school, they always get out grinning. Robby's have their place and, as long as you aren't being a jackass on the controls, they're incredibly simple, willing, and forgiving machines. They're no Kiowa, but I do enjoy flying them.

Like I said, I can't recommend a discovery flight enough.

Know what they're doing flying into Moffett? Just getting hours? I see them on approach sometimes and wonder what they're doing flying into there.

Being a jackass on the controls is the fun part.

Air quality is not so good in BC these days due to forest fire smoke. This was about 10 days ago going into Vancouver.

No clue, probably either building hours like you said or making a pitstop during a long flight. There's a Navy Lodge right outside the front gate

Taxiing in at sunset after another awesome evening flight. There's something just so satisfying about flying this airplane. Maybe it's because planes and water go together so well? Sully might disagree. Then again, perhaps not...

Anyone see the eclipse while flying? Tried seeing it from the tower here in central Texas of course sun was directly above us but it did make it shady outside for an it.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Mooney is FINALLY out of maintenance after 2 new cylinders, welded exhaust, new CHT sending unit and gauge, some panel work for said new CHT gauge, and 2 new mags... 8 weeks and 5k later she's flying good again.

Flew her around the practice area for a bit and then shot a couple approaches for currency... happy to get her in the air again.

My 206 is in annual so I should get to go get her from New Mexico at the end of the week :woot:

I was flying around the mid-Atlantic for a couple legs then to New Mexico during it. We made a pinhole camera and messed around with that a little. Otherwise a noticeable change in lighting outside. At home, with 82% coverage, the temperature dropped a couple degrees during t.

Took Ms. Q the Mooney up again today for approach currency. She's flying pretty good. Next step is to list her on barnstormers again for sale... my T182T is coming back to Tucson here pretty soon and although not as sleek and sexy as the Mooney, it's a helluva lot nicer :)

Note, the 172 next to the Mooney isn't ours - just a random skyhawk I parked next to. My 182 is the last picture :)

lmao, your gonna have to adapt and overcome, my friend! R22's cost around $350/hr to fly and 44's can cost around $700/hr. You're getting paid to deal with us, we're emptying our savings accounts to be there!
