I have an access cab and if you don't need the extra people than it's cheaper and the longer bed helps (same length as a DCSB) but I personally think sr5's are better because you can always color match and things like that easy. Instead of paying over a thousand for all that extra easy stuff. But that's just me :D

reread it. he asks if you find yourself wanting crawl control, not that he needed it.

OR access cab with a 6MT is available only in Canada.

I did, it is still only available on the Automatic transmission, so I assume if he were buying the Off Road that was his interest.

True I go back and forth because some things I really like on the better models but also just think some things are to much to buy when I don't need it:confused:

I think access cabs have the 6 foot bed, while the double cab had a 5 footer. And the long bed is the double cab with a 6 ft bed.

Yes your correct but an access cab is the same length overall as dCSB I believe and the DCLB is obviously the longest

I miss the extra foot, but needed the double cab, and manual trans.

What you are probably seeing is a forced option being added to the Off Road like the Towing Package. If you go up into the Sticky Section and look at the Cost and Options Thread you will see that the Sport and Off Road have the exact same price.

Legit question as I'm somewhat in the same boat as the OP:

Are you saying this because of the terrain select mode or suspension? Or both? Or other?

Curious as I'm looking at a sport (manual trans)and I'm in Ohio.

But wouldn't they both have that same forced option?

I'll go mess around on the site.

As I understood the difference between OR/Sport in a manual is softer tuned shocks and locking rear differential. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to lock the rear diff, don't you need to be in 4low ?

All of the above, the Off Road is just more capable in the extremes, you would still be fine in a Sport.

I have owned 4 Off Roads and Toyota required the Towing Package when choosing the Off Road, no idea on what they do on the Sport but i would guess not forced.

Also, Automatic has Crawl Control and Manual has ATRAC. Need to be in 4Low to lock the rear.
