What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Decided to make it even more difficult to get in the truck bed.

 

How much of a lift does this give you? Any other benefits?

Does the heat insulation also mean your truck stays cooler or just that it stays warmer longer?

Not bad for 4 hours worth of work..... I'm liking her new rear bumper.

 

I have them on the 2" setting. The other two holes are 1.5 and 1. No other purpose/benefit that I'm aware of.

Gave me my rake back, which is what I wanted.

 

Spent 2 days dis mounting my tsls and mounting my new Toyos. Holy crap I hurt LOL.

If anyone is looking for some 37" radial tsls, I'm going to be putting them up for sale soon with a get them out of my garage price.

Notice a panel loose, started tightening down and the damn bolt head snapped right off.

Don't know yet! But it is quieter in there. The sound proofing and heat insulation were a breeze to put in.
On a side note I just wrapped up the ACC vinyl flooring install, and it was super frustrating. It apparently is the most non-pliable material known to man.Even Used a heat gun to soften it some more after letting it sit in the sun. Seriously-props to any of you mad scientist bastards on here who have attempted it and were successful. Mine looks like shite. Hopefully it will settle in a little and look better in a few weeks.

 

Did some wiring on the beater and finished cleaning the remains of the old engine's mess (leaked oil EVERYWHERE). Happy to find the frame is in great and very shiny condition. I'll hopefully be putting in the transmission tomorrow and welding in the new mounts.

 

Drove it for the first time in almost a month!

 

Finished painting my engine bay & fixing up my wiring harness:



Made my throttle body gasket opening round. Looking to pick up 50-75 hp, you know...

 

Nice. That is pretty damn low-pro. Any lower and you'd have to use steel plate.

 

I ordered a glass run channel for my passenger side door this morning, it started to rattle pretty bad last week so i took the door panel off Saturday and discovered the run channel had broken off of the brackets that bolt to the door.

 

This was yesterday, also got some parts for my rear diff breather. Now that I've got some finances situated I'll be ordering some cv's this week.

 

Anybody else checking this eclipse out? Pretty cool to watch the moon's disc appear in the solar disc.

 

Ordered a new OEM radiator, a couple of heater hoses, heater valve, thermostat and a fan clutch.

 

Did your heater valve crumble like mine did?
