The civil war started as a division of congressional representation and economics, manufacturing vs agriculture, the rich north vs the less populated south. The use of a paid population vs slave labor. A 10th of the population died. Freeing slaves was added towards the end, even though alot of it was about how to count slaves as humans from the beginning. I get why they are taking down the flag and the statues of the leaders that sent so many to their deaths but the cemeteries should be left alone.

Has this conversation gotten political? I feel we are walking a thin line here.

    Morning all.

Spent 12 hrs processing moose yesterday. Hopefully finish it all today.

    Saw that...very cool.

exactly ... kind of a double take for me when I heard that depth, I wasn't sure I heard it right.

I got used to Nescafe instant when stationed in England. It's not up to brewed standards by any means, but it works in a pinch. I take these hunting, I like the hazelnut flavor too:

EDIT: I'm not a Starbuckles fan either. ;)

I don't really care about politics as I find them all to be liars, however when society is kissing peoples asses and screwing with history and our southern history in particular whether good or bad I take personal offense. I believe 100% in equality and not catering to one group over another. If this is political then I apologize and end discussion.

A lot happened in 1958 there, it was a good year. I was also born then.

True. I was born and raised in North Central Pa. and great grandma Thomas talked about her Mom telling her when Grandpa Hat (Hatfield) came home from the Civil War missing one of his legs.

But lived in the South a large chuck of my life. Went to Gettysburg about 20 years ago and left disappointed the whole thing favored the North from the presentation to final resting grounds of those that fought for the Confederacy.

We visited there on our way North from where we lived in Asheville, NC at the time. The boys loved Shoney's restaurant and we checked the map at one of the Shoney's in the South and Gettysburg Pa. was the furthest one North so we stopped there. I asked for sweet tea not even really looking at the menu. The waitress said if you want your tea sweet you can put your own damn sugar in it. Not the typical Southern waitress response Hi honey what can I get for you. Welcome back to the North.

Good morning folks. Going to drag our feet a little and see a little of El Paso then smash the gas.

The parking lots are all wet so I guess it rained here a bit last night/early morning.

Now, see Jimi, you're not doing it right. When you take pictures of a vehicle near water, it's supposed to be submerged.
