I always wondered if I would enjoy wheeling with you guys and now I am glad I never found out

I WANT a dual sport, but haven't bought one yet.

 

I have a dual sport. Right now, it's just a pavement pounder.

That's what I'm thinking, I'd go on the dirt bike but no way I'm bringing the Ford into the woods. That thing is too wide, long and low for it to be a trail truck.

 

i used to have a dual sport back in the day. but had no one to ride with and got rid of it

 

Dual sport junkie here, logged 466 miles this weekend from providence ri to sebago lake Maine.

 

Park at the RI spot 3/4 of a mile in there's a excellent parking location with plenty of turn-a-round room. If you wanna ride some time let me know. I just hit 12k on my CRF250l

 

Will do. Finding time has been my biggest issue with 2 little ones and house projects. Right now, I just ride the road on the weekends doing errands and to my soccer games. I used to ride to work also but stopped now that I'm in downtown Boston. Traffic is nutty here, I've almost been hit several times in the truck, I can't imagine it'd be fun sitting in traffic on a bike.

 

To those that had 'em, are they actually practical on like easy-moderate class VI's?

Like I said earlier I havent even taken the basic rider course yet and am new to motorcycles in general but think it would be the tits to have a bike I could ride to the trail, on the trail, and then back home. Just like my truck can.

 

i'd say since you have a truck, get a real dirt bike. i had the dual sport before i had a truck, so i didn't have a way to get it to and from the trails

 

that said, dual sports/motards are pretty fun on the road. hopping curbs, cutting through fields and medians...

 

For the bike I'm more interested in pavement. I have no idea what I want, probably something older, cheap, and japanese.

 

if you're learning on it, a dual sport is especially forgiving and fun. and cheap. and cheap on insurance. etc etc. only thing that sucks is carbs
i always recommend the dr400s would probably be a great bike for you. enough power to get on the highway

 

I got some switchback ale, but i cant have it with my lunch. So it sits in my cooler until a different time
