i was just wondering if anyone one here has tried out this Sprint Booster? it claims that it improves the throttle response so that there is no lag when you step on the gas. it kinda reminds me of that thing they used to make called the Tornado, i dont know if anyone on here remembers that turd. anyhew any info. on this new gadget would be appreciated.

p.s. i have gone to the web site and they have a ton of testimonials but none from tacoma owners.

I think our throttle response is great. I've driven police package Impalas which have drive by wire and you can really tell, they are super slow to respond.

$329 for a quicker throttle response?

Hmm... I actually am kind of intrigued here

Sprint Booster has been awarded the coveted 2009 SEMA Show “Best New Performance Street Product,” having been chosen over 1228 other entries.

I think they would be great if you were into the drag strip or course racing, but for everyday use it seems unnecessary.

I have one in my 2006 4Runner. It does what it says it will do.

We put one in an auto truck with a TRD supercharger and it seems that the calibration is a little to aggressive. We will have a fix for that soon.

Currently it is only compatible with the 2005+ Tacomas with the auto trans. The manual version is in the works. There is a clearance issue with the pull type parking brake.

Gadget, any word on the version for the manual transmission?

Would this do anything to clean up the ridiculous delay between the time I press the accelerator pedal to the time the engine decides to speed up?

I have not tried it myself, but when I was into fixing up my Mini Cooper for auto-crossing (was running a turbo and supercharger)- there were members on the forum that were using them. They claimed there was an increased in throttle response and since all the Cooper S were either SC and later TC- it overall helped build addition 1-2 lbs of boost.

Nice! If it just gets rid of the throttle delay it would be worth it to me. When I'm wheeling, theres a short throttle delay that drives me crazy. I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on this soon. I'll do a write up for the 3rd gens
