You can use any skid plate you want has no affect for skid plate application. I am using Mobtown full set of steel skids. Pro skid works , RCI skids work. I have not heard of anyone having an issue.lic brac.jpg

    Truck stuff
@Dave2016trdsport4x4 is right. the bumper shouldnt interfere with any skids made for the truck. I'm patiently waiting for my full set from Mobtown. Should have them in and on next month!

Great design. I only wish the third gen front bumper cover didn't require :sawzall: to install.

For the Smittybilt x20 where is everyone placing the control box? The instructions say you can mount it over the motor or the drum either on the left, center or right.

I did too, there was something in the way if I mounted over the spool, I just cant remember what. You will need a pretty long screw driver to attach the brackets for the over the motor mount.

There's a bracket in the way. Someone talked about drilling out the bracket earlier in this thread.

Make sure you line the bottom of the grill up good before pressing it into place!

Yeah both of my tabs are about to break. I'll have my wife give me some help when she gets home.

(First time attempting to embed a FB video. If it doesn't work, please don't hurt me. ;-)
I installed this with a buddy. Includes the light bar and Smittybuilt X20 winch. Installation was pretty straight forward, though we went about cutting the bumper differently than the instructions. We found leaving it on made for a better cutting surface which was accomplished with a basic Dremmel. Easy Peezy.

Nice video. What about the unedited, original, full-length video for educational purposes?
Think I'm going to get the same winch.

After fighting with it, I ended up loosening the nuts on the bumper and pulling it out a bit to create some room for the grille. I supported the bumper with a jack to make sure I didn't damage the threads. Bit if a hassle, but didn't break any tabs.
