It's a bit cloudy for us, but I was able to get this picture.
I used my spotting scope projecting on a piece of white board.

My wife got these while I used my binoculars to project onto the white board.

Rained on and off from El Paso to Ft Stockton (currently at the DQ). I didn't even stop in El Paso...that place is a mad house full on big city. Traffic was all over the place. Maybe I'll catch it on the way back.

That was pretty neat. Probably the only time in my lifetime to see a total solar eclipse. That was a big deal.

    Afternoon all :hattip:

I haven't been on the TW all day. Worked from home today and I seem to work harder when I "telecommute" than when I'm at the plant.

If I see it, I'll get a photo. It fit with plenty of room front to back and height too. If you ever decide to go that route, get one with a mechanical inline pump. They are easy to turn up and near bulletproof.

Yeah my plan if I were to do it is go as mechanical as possible leave the electronics to the stereo and be done with it . The 4Bt is a very versatile engine and has been put in many things , the engine bay on a 70's Burb is huge a transfer case for 4x4 is easy since you could get a 4bt with a chevy bellhousing . There are examples around the net . Just a pip dream of mine but I do like to check builds using the 4bt.

Forget the 4BT Cummins and go with a 6V71 Detroit , 2 stroke Detroit's kick but and sound awesome

I am well aware of Detroit's sound especially when spooling up on a turbo yep sound good ..yep leak oil like an SR-71 on the ground and are not near as ubiquitous for parts availability.

Better than a scatterpillar or cum apart

The Cummins 4 BT has a well known problem with cracked cyl heads , which leads to coolant getting into the combustion chamber . Also issues with excessive wear on main & rod bearing leading to damaged cranks . Also the 4BT has an inherit engine vibration
