If you want to get the full travel out of the dakars, you won't find it with the nitrochargers. The B110 extended travel 5100's will give you an inch and a half more travel than the nitrochargers.

But, if that doesn't matter to you, I personally liked the ride of the nitrochargers over the bilsteins when I had them on my 1st gen.

Never ran OME's but I have a lot of friends that run them and love them. And here's a pic of my bilsteins after a few years of thinking I had LT. Needless to say they did not cover the failure under their lifetime warranty.

This was also after about 100 miles from Vegas to Barstow at speeds that they were never designed to be used at for an extended period of time.

They looked like the shock bottomed out and the shock destroyed the piston... no shock company will cover that lol

Oh bumps were set so the shocks never actually bottomed out on themselves. I hit bumps a lot, but it was just a build up of over doing what the shocks were designed for for so long. No distinctive hit caused the failure. But the piston and shins disintegrated inside the shock.

Would you need to drop the front diff when running the OME dakars?

Dakars are the rear leaf springs. But when lifting the front as well, It will help with cv angles at ride height, but it isn't necessary. I ended up pulling my diff drop out when running about 3" of lift and never had an issue

Dope, I heard some sketchy things about the diff drop bracket and never could get a real answer either way.

I've heard the argument both ways. But for me, now my custom skids make it so I can't run one because I tucked everything up for ground clearance. And with over 3" of lift and the LT kit, cv angles are just fine

The temp drop must have been trippy. The darkness in the day pics are pretty cool, and then back to reality/light/humidity. Aaaaaand scene!

Doesn't matter either way. Whoever made this one way or the other and anyone that would go and get paid one way or the other is scum
