Was cleaning today and noticed this slight front bumper separation on driver side. Tried to push it in but keeps bouncing back. Any ideas or anyone else experienced something similar.

Mine is like that a little as well.

Don't know if it's heat related or what. I kinda just let it go--ive got bigger fish to fry. It's hard to notice unless you are down their washing it.

It wasn't like that when I bought it and I'm 99% sure it hasn't been bumped. New normal for Tacoma.

Got ya, well I got my service appointment tomorrow see what the dealership will do or even can do. It be nice if I can get a warranty replacement. My front bumper has the license plate drilled into it. Would be nice to get a fresh bumper with no holes but one can only dream. Definitely wasn't there when I first bought it. I hand washed it myself when brining it home and did a pretty good inspection.

A lot of the exterior and interior panels of this truck have horrible build quality. The fit and finish doesnt reflect that of a 30K+ vehicle.

My 1987 Toyota has better fit and finish than this 2017 Tacoma.

That being said, put an aftermarket steel bumper on!

They all do it from what I've seen. Mine annoyed me so I fixed it. I filled the gap with 5 min plastic epoxy and jammed a bunch down there and pushed the plastic bumper till it dried.

A car wash ripped mine off recently and the I agreed to let the owner have their "buddy" who owned a multi million dollar business in building roller coasters do what I would think is just an easy buy the parts and snap them on as there was no real damage to the vehicle. I only noticed this on mine after the install because I never looked there before. Glad to see it's just a natural Taco thing and not a bad install.

I really like that bumper without the hoop, that is nearing the top of my want list!

My whole front black plastic part does that. I kick it back in daily. Cheap shit from Toyota. But it'll be replaced by steel one day

    *update*

Finally had the chance to take my truck in for its 10k oil change and brought up to the service advisor about the bumper separation. A tech looked at it as well and they determined that next week they will need to keep my Truck for possibly the whole day or overnight to inspect the bumper and file the correct paperwork with corporate to hopefully get it covered under warranty.

Just wanted to get your guys opinion to the "solution" I've been given.
