    Check Build thread
    Is it aligned? A ton of stuff could cause it to go one way or the other. But if you do need a new rack go oem, the China parts store ones are no good

    yeah I've had alignments done at a few different places and like 2 days later it always gets out of whack and wants to go right. You can even feel it in the steering wheel, super easy and fluid to turn it right and way more tension trying to pull left. Both of the boots are wet where it meets the rack. Yeah i'll go OEM for the rack. hopefully it won't have to be a full replacement.... ugh. maybe its just the inner tie rods? i'm not to familiar how that all works

    Madison, there is a thing called "tire pushing/pulling" and usually it has to do with the tire somehow damaged on the inner layers. One way to solve it is by rotating the tires one side at a time. If the problem goes away (i.e. eventually) then you know one of those tires needs to be replaced.

    Go to a reputable tire shop, explain to them what is happening (i.e. possibly even tell them that you've heard/read about tire pull/pushing), and have them rotate accordingly. They're going to make you drive your vehicle and report back... typically same day.
    Just a thought!!! :thumbsup::fistbump:

    cool, thanks randy. Hopefully theres nothing wrong with the tires, i did just have them rotated like 3 weeks ago. I need to get them balanced too though, having a bit of wheel shake also.

    Is the shake only at certain speeds or is it constant? Look for OOR (Out Of Round) on your tire(s) by simply rubbing/sliding your hand across the "tread part of the tire", but make sure to visually inspect first for any steel cords popping out... that SHI* HURTS and has NO PROBLEM tearing away flesh!!! Get Mike @eccracer104 to do that part for you!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl::p Anyways, you want to look for any sort of obvious bump/rise in any one part of the tire. It would be pretty obvious (see picture below as an example)... btw, it's not necessarily as extreme as you see in that picture, but, again, it will be pretty obvious if you are starting to have a separated tread. Sometimes, the tire shop won't catch it or some "rookie" was rotating the tire(s)???!!!
    SeparatedTread.jpg

    Here is the biggest question I have, was this pulling/pushing doing it even before you had the tires rotated? If not, I would start to really HIGHLY suspect a tire issue... somehow... somewhere!!!

    The "pulling" has been occurring both before and after an alignment, and before and after a tire rotation. The steering is noticably easier to turn in one direction over the other and both inner tie rod ends are wet. The shop we normally take her truck too has mentioned the steering rack being in need of replacement before, so it isn't a huge surprise, just hoping this solves the issue.

    yeah my tires are in great condition still, lots of tread. The wheel only shakes around highway speeds. and yeah i've had a problem with the push/pull for a long time, just seems to be getting worse now.

    My truck has been drifting left and right at high speeds for a while now. After fixing one thing after the other on the front end the past couple weeks. I knew it was going to be the steering rack. Danny and Kyle helped verify that on Saturday. Energy suspension sells replacement bushings for the rack. Have somebody turn the wheel back and forth close to full lock. If you see a lot of movement at the steering rack bushings that could be your problem. I got the bushings for like $50 from Wheeler Offroad.

    Dang that sucks. Havent read all the previous comments but I'd guess wheel balance if it's shaking at high speeds

    Yeah, i'm going to get them balanced tomorrow after work. Hopefully get it in the shop over the weekend. I think i'll probably need a new rack or inner tie rods perhaps *flying money emoji*
