I need to get one soon for my rock lights so that I can add in more down the road. Just need to figure out if I want to do the courtesy lights or not as that would be extra wiring that I don't know if I want to do as I would only want the ones on the sides in the middle of the truck to come on with the dome light.

 

Yeah i have a bunch of electronics installed. The fuse block in the truck has 3 add fuses to it also....

The courtesy lights are easy... I used speaker wire for power and ground since its such a low draw. I also used one of the old harnesses from my baja lights, it already has a fuse built in so i used that, ran it in the cab, used speaker wire to tap into the ground, connected the + wire and ran it to the holes under the seats on both sides.

These wire taps are my favorite... super easy to use and does not require you to strip off any plastic shielding. All you need is some pliers.

That is a cheap fix though!

Man that photo had me so damn confused! I was trying to check out potential points of interest along the way and that came up...

Also there are places on google maps that google has hidden with obviously incorrect photos.

What you are looking at is the edge of two aerial photos meeting on the map. One taken from an angle closer to 90 the other at a much shallower angle.

 

Im pretty sure these are taken from a satellite.... so technically that would make them orbital photos....

 

Nope, too high quality for satellite photos, definitely shot from a plane

Edit: Actually I'm wrong, USGS says that photo is from DigitalGlobe which means it's a satellite image form the WorldView-2 satellite. The distortion is from the angle of the photo in relation to the slope of the mountains. That's why it looks better about 1 mile west where 24 meets 2.

 

I felt like this was an appropriate location...
