What do you think my play should Be?

I heard of people getting a extended warranty or prorated payments? My other question is how would a faulty diff effect the engine " breaking in" for the first 500. I know some say it's already done. But I'd imagine that's extra strain.

Last resort would be asking for a replacement vehicle.

He's off enjoying his non-howling rear end. Never to be seen or heard from again...

I Would let them know how you are concerned of the long term potential issues having mechanics doing such a major repair on your brand new less than 1k miles. Keep tossing out how your excited and thought that Tacomas are so great, but now your just not sure toyotas are for you. No threats, just how your concerned and is there any thing Toyota can do.

    Something along this line.

There us no play. Get it fixed to your satisfaction. There was no additional strain on the motor. Your new part will have a new warranty.

Finally a voice of reason and sanity .
Does anyone see the bigger issue going on here ? You have a warranty to fix your issue. You are owed nothing more and nothing less. Why try to get something that's not coming to you ? At that point are you not the bad guy?
Driving rentals hard for what reason?

Trying to get something that's not due you ?

Who's the bad guys here ? Certainly not the dealer who fixed your truck ...and gave you a loaner . They did exactly what they were supposed to do.

I know I'll get crap for this and that's ok.

Bad guy for sticking up for myself against a giant multi national company like Toyota. Ok dude.. If your differential was toast.. I doubt you'd be saying what you said right now.

Imagine making payments on something you can't drive or enjoy. The lesson here is Toyota is guilty of hiring cheap unskilled labor's in Tetcate Mexico to produce a $ 40,000.00 truck and riding on the reputation of " Toyota". So I am " owed" what I paid for... and more to keep me happy.

I find it hard to endorse treating a loaner like crap. Sounds like to me the dealership is trying to take care of your problem, gave you a loaner, etc. If you must have a truck for your business, and your maintenance agreement notes providing a suitable work vehicle, then sure KINDLY ask dealer to honor the agreement with a loaner truck. Otherwise why trash the loaner? That makes no sense.

Listen not going to get in a verbal fight with you over this.

they fixed your truck under your warranty. Read your warranty, you are owed no more no less. Enjoy your truck and be happy.

    Be well

This paints an evil picture of free enterprise and capitalism that I do not buy into. Of course corporations are profit driven...but higher profits result from happy consumers. I believe in the internet age, consumers have never in the history of the earth been more powerful than they are today in driving quality and sales by having their voices and dollars vote. And that, imo, is free enterprise at work.. working exactly as it should

This part is not at issue here at this stage. The dealership listened to the OP fixed his truck under warranty as is required .
But now it seems the OP wants more . He is not owed more. Why should the dealership be held hostage in this case when they did what they should have done.
Why do people think they are owed more?
And why does anyone think it's ok to "trash " property that is being loaned to them.

I'm sorry I don't get it. But then I've never asked for anything not due me.

That was my point really. I read his message as saying his experience was evil corporate America up to their evil deeds yet again.
