What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

How are you going about make a shifter boot for the automatic. Have been wanting to do the same.

What kind of rack you got?

 

You can pull the center console box out and see if the inverter is below it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is installed and wired to the back of the bed as well.

 

I built it myself. Used 1 3/4" tubing and superstrut. The top shelf bolts in and can be removed in a few minutes.

 

That's interesting. I just pulled the switch blank and mine has wiring also. I might pull the bed side cubby and check for wiring

 

You can see the wiring just by laying on your back and looking up. If the wiring is there I'd look in the console as well.

 

Well, no luck. I don't see any wiring under the bed

Just ordered Redline hood struts and ez down tailgate kits! Pics after install this coming weekend if they arrive in time.

They keep the echo chamber/horn clear of direct wind. That's why they're mounted sideways. Air pressure directly into the horn will render it nearly useless.

 

Picked up some new crush gaskets from the steallership, crawlled underneath and checked all the gear oils. When I replaced the fluids this spring, like everyone else toyota didn't top them up full. Upon opening the fill bolts no oil spilled out. Yet after replacing all the fluids myself and checking them today, clear and clean fluid spilled out of every diff/gear box.

Big fan of preventative maintenance, next up will be to get nice and greasy oil spraying the truck prior to winter hahaha

Right on man get the oil spray lived the winters in Ottawa for 20 years, ate my poor '03 Altima up!

• -deleted the "tacoma"
• -made it more shallow
• -repaint
• -made light bar "flush with it"

-new driver side front hub (Jersey Built)
-6 new wheel studs for driver rear
-new face plate for Bed Drawer

• -organized

- oh, and did I mention I mounted my new SCS Wheels
